Everything You Need to Know About Ekmpowershop

By Adam  |  19 Feb 2016 12:00:00

If you're planning on starting an eCommerce website, then there's a good chance that one of the services you're interested in using in Ekmpowershop. However, if you are planning on using Ekmpowershop, it's probably best to make sure that you know everything about it beforehand. As such, we decided that it would be beneficial to provide a nice and simple one stop shop for everything you need to know about Ekmpowershop.

1. Ekmpowershop only offer one payment package.
There are loads of different people who might want to start an eCommerce website and they'll all have a completely different background. Maybe you wanted to try your hand an eCommerce on a whim and it would be more of an experiment than anything else. Maybe you want to take your one hundred years old family business onto the internet for the first time. Maybe you're really keen to start up a business on the side of your main job. It's pretty obvious that you're going to need something different when you want to start eCommerce business from any of those positions; it should also be obvious that the people in these different situations are also going to all have very different budgets. Ekmpowershop offer a single £24.99 per  month package. Too big for some, not enough for others.

2. Ekmpowershop's free trial has a nasty surprise.
When you use a service’s free trial, you expect to get started with something in a way that will allow you to see if it's something that suits you, then if you do like it, you can pay and keep going. Sadly, Ekmpowershop's "free trial" is actually more of a "free demo" in that the eCommerce website that you're working on for free is not the same one you'll be working on if you later decide to pay. So imagine your trial runs out and you reflect on whether or not you want to make a monetary investment - you decide that you do, after a few days' reflection. Sadly, when you do pay, you find that all the hard work you put in during the fourteen day free trial has been undone. How sad that so many people will have had their time wasted.

3. Ekmpowershop's updates are unstable.
Any business that provides an internet service will be regularly updating their systems and everything so that they can keep up to date with all the latest trends on the world wide web. The problem is that Ekmpowershop don't really think of their existing customers when they update. Often updates bring with them new systems which render many existing features on customers' websites broken. Why would they do this? Well, sadly, it's all about money. If your website breaks, they can then charge you to repair it.

4. Ekmpowershop do not encourage customer interaction.
Much like many businesses of this kind, Ekmpowershop have a forum where customers can discuss their service. However, the sad news is that they have been known to censor posts... Why? Because when someone has a problem with their site, other customers then let them know how this problem can be resolved - Ekmpowershop do not like this, as they are then missing out on the money they could charge that person to repair the website themselves.

So keep these things in mind before you decide to sign up to Ekmpowershop. If you'd rather use a different eCommerce service, perhaps you'd like to try Sellr? Since it can be used for free (forever) you don't really have much to lose! If you have any other important Ekmpowershop information, please tweet us @Sellr as we are very keen to hear what you have to say!
