By Adam  |  22 Jun 2015 08:00:00

If you want to start up your own eCommerce website, you're going to need your own domain. GoDaddy is one of the most popular and well-known websites to use if you want to register a domain. If you're not too sure what that is, your domain is basically the name of your website. To give a concise explanation: www.yourdomain.com and GoDaddy is a service with which to purchase domains.

To set up your Go Daddy Domain name to work with Sellr.

Login to your GoDaddy account at https://mya.godaddy.com/
In the DOMAINS section, click 'Manage'.
Click the settings icon for your domain
Click 'Manage DNS'.
Click the Edit Record icon.
A dialog window opens.
Scroll down to the CName (Alias) section.
Click the icon for the 'Edit Record' button on the line of the "www" host
A dialog window opens.
Change the 'Points to' field to point towards YourStoreId.sellrstores.com (replace YourStoreId with your actual Sellr storeid for example: 55000123.sellrstores.com)
Click 'Finish'.
Click 'Save Changes' in the action needed bar.

At this point, you're pretty much on your way! You then need to input your domain on Sellr, which can be done under the "Website" tab and should be quite straight-forward as instructions are available as you go. But, if you have any trouble; worry not! Help is always at hand; you can either email support@sellr.com or call our support line at 01225 422200. We're very happy to help.
