Facebook Business Page Management

By Adam  |  1 Aug 2016 12:00:00

That look when you get too many notifications.

With more and more people signing up to Facebook every day, it can be a great platform for you to use to promote your eCommerce website. It's true, Facebook does have its downsides: for example, their system is kind of rigged so that if you don't pay them, marketing will be much harder, but it is still worth doing and can still be effective.

One thing I'd like to advise, though, is that you set up a whole new Facebook account from which to manage your business's Facebook page, rather than using your personal account. Why is this? Well, it's not a case of professionalism, because nobody will ever see the profiles of a Facebook page's admin, but it will honestly just be a lot easier for you to do it like this. If you merge together your personal Facebook and your business's Facebook page, your personal page will be constantly barraged with notifications from customers who are engaging with your business page in some way or another. If you give yourself specific work hours, it's possible that you'll overlook things which come up outside of these work hours and it's equally possible that lots of business notifications will cause you to overlook important personal ones!

It's something which a lot of social media marketers complain of, so why not nip this problem in the bud and make your business page through an especially created account? If you then added it through something like Hootsuite, you wouldn't even have the problem of needing to log in specifically for business! Nonetheless, some people are fine with it being connected and I suppose it does have its benefits. However you decide to carry out your social media marketing, I hope it will bring lots of traffic to your eCommerce site and help you to generate lots of sales and if you don't even have an eCommerce website yet, then sign up to Sellr and get started right away!
