Can You Be Creative in Content Marketing?

By Adam  |  24 Aug 2015 15:00:00

Need I remind you of The Content Market Ear? It's a member of staff here at Sellr and handles content marketing and our Click Booster service. Of course, we've got a whole office full of Content Market Ears, all of them churning the stuff out, but this was the first one we created through genetic engineering down in the Sellr labs. The rest are just clones. That's right; we break the barriers of science to bring you the very best service possible.

Anyway, why am I bringing this up? Well, you see, I wanted to tell you a little about what goes on inside the mind of The Content Market Ear. You might assume that it doesn’t think, after all it doesn’t talk (it has no mouth). But that's not true at all. The Content Market Ear is actually a very creative old soul and it works hard on an exciting fantasy novel series when it's not producing high quality content. This is likely part of what makes it such a good content marketer; if it has no trouble thinking up all the wondrous intricacies of a fantasy world, it no doubt finds it very easy to think up much more ordinary ideas for content marketing. Plus, this existing skillset puts it in a position where it can easily put a creative spin on each piece; when content is unique, people are more likely to enjoy and share it.

So keep in mind that creativity is very much at home in the world of content marketing. Got an idea which is rather 'out there'? Then go for it! The content on your website should be unique to your business if it's going to be effective and it won't be unique if you write very bland and unoriginal pieces. Of course, that's not to say you can't share some of the same ideas which may have been shared elsewhere, but when you do do that, put your own angle on it, make it unique. I hope that's given you some ideas for your content marketing but, if not, there is always Click Booster! Content marketing can be a great way to drive traffic to your eCommerce website, but if you don't even have an eCommerce website yet, why not sign up to Sellr now? You can make your eCommerce dream an eCommerce reality without spending a thing!
