Content Based on Customer Feedback

By Adam  |  9 Nov 2015 10:00:00

Look at this lovely person to the right; that's the Content Market Ear. You know what it does best? It listens. On many a time has somebody come and sat with it, talked for hours about their problems and felt much better just because they knew there was someone to listen. Now, it may just be a product of genetic engineering and incapable of human speech, but it understands that there's a lot to be learned simply by listening to others. It's also a content marketer and, believe it or not, the simple act of listening is very useful even in the world of content creation.

If you have a blog which people enjoy reading, then you are doubtlessly going to get suggestions on things that readers would also like to see covered in that blog. It would be a good idea to listen to as many of the suggestions from customers as possible. If you get literally hundreds of suggestions, it might not be possible to keep up with them, but for each individual customer you make a blog post in response to, they'll feel like you really care about them and what they want. If a customer feels that you care for them, they are much more likely to turn to you when they need something like your product. It's not just direct requests either; if you notice that you are regularly asked a certain question about your product, why not write a blog post in which you go over the answer to that question? You might even like to go as far as predicting what will be asked (or what people are thinking, but not asking) and pre-emptively writing about it.

The point is that you can never go wrong by listening to your customers. A good business person is somebody who understands what their customers really want, how they feel, what they think and what they need, and where better to get the answers to those questions than from the customers themselves? Always listen to what your customers have to say and make sure that they are provided with lots of different channels through which they can communicate with you. Hopefully this will prove to be a good source of valuable information and great ideas for content! But if you don't even have an eCommerce website to do content marketing for, then why not sign up to Sellr and get started right away?
