How To Sell Online

So you want to learn how to sell things online? If so, that's fair enough! You've come to the right place (we are called 'Sellr' after all!). If you are a particularly crafty person, then it would be a good idea if you were to try and sell your crafts: sculptures, painting, furniture, ornaments, whatever you make, there could be somebody out there to buy it! It’d be great if you could make a living off of your hobby but it's a good idea to sell more than just things you create yourself (to put less pressure on you and to broaden your website's appeal) so you could go to DHgate who sell cheap goods in bulk. It's also worth combing through local charity shops to look for things like rare books, which often go for a lot online.

 

After all of this you need to think more about the business side of things. What will you call your business? What is your unique selling point? Make sure you think of a catchy and easy to spell/pronounce business name and think up what it is that's going to make your website different from any others. These are two tricky steps and you should take your time to consider them. Discuss these things with friends and have a search around the internet for ideas similar to your own, these will give you a good idea of how unique your business is and how much it appeals to people (though make sure your friends are honest!). If you notice a website which is similar to your planned website, focus on what makes them different and expand on the differences.

Upgrading to a better version of Sellr down the line is definitely something to think about though. You'll find that there are a variety of website templates to choose from which means you can choose whichever one fits the style of your business most closely. Of course, once you've chosen the template (which is essentially a pre-made website) you can then edit and customise it as much as you want, that way you'll be sure that you've got a unique site. You can list up to twenty-five different products to sell (more if you pay) and then, basically, you're all ready!
