How to Check if Your Site Has Been Indexed by Google

When you're doing content marketing you are doubtlessly going to be writing lots of new blog posts for your eCommerce websites and each new blog is a new page. Content marketing can be very effective indeed, but if your new pages aren't getting indexed by Google, then they're not going to come up in searches and you'll find that they're a lot less effective than they could have been.

So how can you be sure that the pages on your site have all been indexed by Google? Well, there's one very simple thing you can do: just paste the URL of a page into a Google search bar and if it comes up, excellent, that page has been indexed, but if there are no results, it has not. It could be a fantastic piece of content, something which is informative and sure to drive sales, but if it's not coming up on a search for its own URL, there's no way it will come up in a search for anything else, so it's not likely to be of any real benefit to you. If you do find that important pages or pieces of content have not yet been indexed, then you can submit them here.

This is just one of the things you can do to help ensure that your website is doing as well as possible and ranking highly in searches. The Google spiders do get around to indexing websites at their own pace, but this can sometimes take a while and with smaller sites especially, this can be a very, very long time to wait. Make sure your blog posts and pages are all indexed so that your eCommerce website can reach its true potential and if you don't yet have an eCommerce website, then sign up to Sellr now and get started for no cost at all!
