How to Create a PayPal Account

By Adam  |  25 Jun 2015 19:00:00

PayPal is a payment gateway service which can be used to both pay and receive payments from a large number of sources. It is probably the most popular of all payment gateways and therefore, if you have an eCommerce website, it may be well worth your time to open up a PayPal account. You always want to accommodate your customers and this is just one of many ways that you can do so.

Opening a PayPal account is such a good idea because then you set it as a way to receive payments in your Sellr store, which means customers can use their PayPal accounts to pay for your goods and services. This is likely to increase sales because then, if somebody sees something on your website which they'd like to purchase, they need only to click a few boxes and then pay with their PayPal. This is much more convenient than them having to sign up to something new just to get your product as people are not keen to give out their payment details to a large number of sources.

So it makes sense for you to set up a PayPal account and, luckily, it's a very simple process. You go to the PayPal website and then say that you want to sign up, which will bring you to this page. You should then select that you want a business account, rather than a personal one, and then there'll just be some simple questions you need to answer and before long you'll be on your way. You will need to enter your bank details during this set up process so be sure to have them to hand! Of course, it is all completely secure as well, so you’ve nothing to worry about in that regard. Once you have the account, you can tweak it to best suit your needs in the 'Settings' section at the top right of the screen (it is shaped like a cog.)

Hopefully you now have all you need to get your PayPal account set up! The best thing is, that when you have a business account with PayPal, people don't even need to have their own PayPal account to pay you through it! Now you’re making things easier for those who do have PayPal and does who do not have PayPal and hopefully it will lead to an increase in sales.
