Adding an FAQ Page
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) pages are very common throughout the internet. When somebody comes across a website for the first time, if they have any uncertainties, the first place they'll go will be a FAQ page which, if it's any good, will have all the answers they need. When a confused customer sees that there is no clear FAQ page they might just abandon the website and never return. This is just one of several reasons that having an FAQ page is a good idea and I shall go over them in this blog post.
It's only a small point, but one which holds a lot of weight: having a FAQ page makes you look more professional. On the one hand it is a good addition to the website and it shows that you have a clear vision; you're not somebody with an ill-thought out business idea that you took online, you're a professional. Furthermore, having some "frequently asked" questions suggests that you have a reasonable number of customers, which then assures people that you are reliable. It doesn't matter if you haven't sold a thing yet, you could just anticipate the kinds of questions that your customers might have and then use them.
Furthermore, it's going to save you time. If you're trying to start up an eCommerce business and are using the money you make from your regular 9-5 job to fund it, then you aren't going to have a huge amount of time to devote to your website. Do you really want to have to spend that time replying to lots of emails which are all asking the same questions? Of course not. A FAQ page will give you time to do more constructive things for your business (such as marketing) and would be well worth adding.
So if you don't have a FAQ page on your eCommerce website, why not add one now? And if you don't even have an eCommerce website, why not sign up to Sellr and start putting one together right away? It is completely free!
