Amazon Working With Nintendo

Once again, we've got an exciting piece of eCommerce news from Amazon! They are now working with Nintendo to offer digital downloads for video games on Nintendo's Wii U and 3DS consoles. Before this, Amazon was already offering video games for digital download, but this is their first time working with Nintendo and this is the first time that Nintendo has ever done anything like this.

So that's good news if you're a Nintendo fan, but what does it mean for you if you run an eCommerce website and know next to nothing about Nintendo? Well, much as Amazon has done with Nintendo, it might prove to be well worth your time to approach another business and to suggest some form of collaboration. Of course, you might find it difficult to get to work with an enormous company like Nintendo, but you should certainly consider approaching those more independent businesses which might be closer to the same size as you. What's the benefit of this? Well, you might be able to combine your skills in a way that will allow you to offer a unique product from both of you, or perhaps the other business is not yet online; if they don't have the time or resources to do so, you are then giving them a great opportunity to increase their horizons while also offering more products on your own eCommerce website, and therefore broadening its appeal.

So I hope that gives you some kind of inspiration. If you know of a business that you'd like to work with, it can't hurt to approach them professionally. Or perhaps you have a friend with a business; why not work together to boost sales for both of you? Of course, you know what's best and this kind of thing needs some consideration, but if it's definitely something to think about.
