In social media marketing, content marketing and even on generic copy in your site, you want to have a good call to action. It seems like a small thing, but people are actually much more likely to engage with your business if you include a call to action where appropriate. If you find it difficult to think of appropriate calls to action, then you've come to the right place! In today's blog post I am going to go over some of the best ideas for a call to action.
Different Calls to Action:
- Call for comments. If you are writing somewhere where commenting is an option, you can ask your readers to leave a comment and let you know their thoughts.
- Call for sales. If you've been writing about your products or service, then you could reasonably ask your customers to make a purchase at the end of a piece.
- Call for social media engagement. This can be a useful way for you to get more people to "like" your social media pages, which will give you a lasting connection to them.
- Call for email sign-up. If you have a newsletter, encourage people to sign up to it so that they can find out about your latest products and content regularly.
- Call for sharing the content. Ultimately, content is most effective the more people who read it, and if your readers like what they read, then why not ask them to share it?
- Call for more reading. If they liked what they just read, maybe they'll like some of your other stuff too, so why not point them in the right direction?
So I hope that gives you an idea of some of the things you could use as a call to action. They're not too hard when you look at them like that and since they might occasionally be the difference between a customer doing something and not doing something, what's the harm in including one? Hopefully this useful list will help you to do better with your content marketing.
