Google's New Logo
If you've been doing much on the internet either today or yesterday then there's one thing which you've doubtlessly noticed: Google has a new logo. If you go to their main search page you'll find that they've got a nice animation of the previous logo being erased and the new one then being drawn in crayon to replace it. It's a sweet little thing and I have to say that I'm rather fond of their new, rather minimalistic logo. Because so many people have been talking about it, it's even been trending on social media.
I think this shows you how much excitement can be garnered from even a slight change to a brand. Of course, Google is an enormous corporation and everybody is familiar with it, but the same can be true for smaller businesses. If you have an established consumer base, but things have gotten a bit stale for you (maybe sales have dropped a bit, you're feeling a bit uninspired, nothing exciting has happened in a while) then you might like to consider rebranding yourself. Rebranding can be a complete overhaul of your website and offering several new products, or it can be a new logo and a few small changes here and there. Either way, it's something which you can do your best to draw attention to in your social media marketing and content marketing to try and build up excitement. This will encourage customers to have another look around your website to see what’s changed, potentially pushing sales.
You always need to be thinking of the next big thing you're going to do for your business, be it offering a new product, branching out to a new social media outlet, or doing some form of rebranding like I talked about in this post. I hope this gives you some ideas for periods in which not much seems to happen. But if you don't have an eCommerce website yet, then why not sign up to Sellr now? For no cost at all you can make your eCommerce dream into an eCommerce reality.
