How to Use Images on Twitter

By Adam  |  3 Sep 2015 15:00:00

Twitter is one of the best social media platforms to use if you want to reach new people. Twitter makes good use of hashtags, which are used to 'tag' a tweet with the things that are relevant to it. So, therefore, if you sold clothes, you might use things like #fashion #clothes #style because then people who are using Twitter to look through those hashtags will come across your tweets. Of course, the people who are looking through those hashtags are people who are interested in those things and therefore people who might buy something from you.

But everybody uses Twitter. What can you do to make sure that your tweets aren't drowned out amongst the thousands of other businesses which are trying to do the same thing? Well, one thing you need to do is make sure that your tweets are interesting and informative; if people have something interesting to read they'll like it and potentially take a look at your main Twitter feed. If you just write boring promotions, people will view them as boring promotions. But, other than making sure you're writing something interesting, you also stand to gain a lot if you include images with your tweets. I'd say that the majority of tweets are posted without an image and therefore they tend to blend in with the general buzz of tweets, but tweets that go out with an image will stand out from the crowd. Of course, you don't need to use an image with everything that you tweet, but it would be good to do it fairly often and especially with the tweets that you think are especially good/important.

It's curious that so many people fail to do this, but if you're using images with your Twitter marketing, then you should stand out from the crowd and catch the eye of potential customers. I hope this has given you an idea for your social media marketing and that you'll use images in your Twitter and find your marketing to be much more effective.
