Set Up Your Domain Through Daily

If you want to open up your own eCommerce website, one thing you might like to do is to buy your own domain. Having your own domain is a good way to make your website look more professional and it could well prove to be a good investment if you are just starting up a new business. You need to be cautious when you're choosing your name, however, as your domain will have an effect on your search engine optimisation (SEO); using your own name or the name of your business might seem like a good idea, but there are better options. If you just used your own name, people would not be very likely to find that during a general internet search and the same goes for the name of your business. So a good thing to do would be to choose one or two key words which are related to your product and to use them along with your business name. If your business was called Bountiful and you sold seeds, then a good domain name (for example) would be www.BountifulSeedSupplies.com.

One of the popular webhosting services out there is Daily and I am going to use this blog post to explain to you how to use a domain purchased with Daily for an eCommerce website created with Sellr. First, when you're logged into Daily, click on 'Domains' and then on 'Manage DNS'. Under 'Hostname' you should see entries for '@' and 'www' in a column headed 'Data', change their IP address to the Sellr IP address (80.168.142.220). Then if you click 'Update DNS' the changes should go through within the next twenty-four hours.

The final stages of the process are carried out here on Sellr and, don't worry, because it's fairly straightforward from here on out. When logged into Sellr, if you click 'Website' and then 'Website Domain Name' you will find the next steps laid out for you quite simply.
